We Wish You A Merry Christmas - Joy To The World - White Christmas
Bill Evans can separate the notes of the melody and move them into a transformation of the original tune. And then returns to the heart rending love song. The photograph of Bill Evans leaning over the keyboard, his forehead resting on the back of his hand ... breaks my heart.
Anyone who hasn’t seen the movie should make a point of it it will enhance your appreciation of the music. The theme is part of a beautiful score to a great drama. They enhance each other in just the way they should
After years of bowie ,prog , singer song writers and Berlin school electronica i have turned my attention to jazz and this is the first piece i hear . Wow
welcome aboard your jazz journey my friend, may the swing be with you forever
This is not inferior to any classical piece. One of the most beautiful things I've ever head, and it isn't even that popular!
❤
This from you?
Stratospheric Tony Williams. Awesome.
yup
top 5
Marc Johnson says (in an interview with Pablo Held) Bill Evans said "Nardis" was their therapy.
Bill played for himself. There are so many recordings and performances of this song, he must have been trying to get someplace deep with it.
I love Emily Thank you Darlings
every time I hear it I get it a little bit more dunno if u know wot I mean
Holy shit, this is insane. Im a newcomer to Jazz, where can i find this album?
🎶🎹🌟💜
Wonderful! .... reminds of Eric Satie (left Hand)
I would watch my dad play with that passion. And just wondering what he was thinking while playing. His chords and rythem patterns were awesome. He and Bill are alike. Miss you so much. We donated his piano so others could cherish what we had our whole lives.
Wonderful, really tenderly wonderful. Thank you so much for making your transcription freely available.
So beautiful. 1:46
荒々しいカール・アレンのドラムが最高!!
Touch, tone and such feeling must be hard to stop playing when it’s this great
Мелодическая тема, как красивая ломанная линия, очаровывает не плавным переходом, как гипербола или синусоида, а резким обрывом и подъёмом,чем и интересна.
A discovery, impressive, human, beauty, tears....
Sadness, and joy this is sublime stop what you are doing and feel every note
George Cole is a giant .Never rated in the African American community. Certainly highly appreciated. Some of yawl just dont get it.
I cannot hear this and believe he isn't alive right now somehow behind the notes
👍❤️... 👊❤️➕️🇵🇱➕️❤️👊
ein mühsames spiel von Bill Evans, es stockt dauernd unangenehm
Wie in seinem Leben.
Yes
MF DOOM sample?
Ah so this is where Nujabes got that beat from
simply the greatest music I've ever listened to.
Lovely.
❤️🌸🌱🙄
My friend Ron Carter on bass. He was tall then, but turned out to be a giant soon after.
WHO'S PLAYING???
Oh, never mind.

Davis wrote "So What." Later he came up with something called "Who Gives a Shit," which was later followed by "Kiss My Ass," "I Really Couldn't Give Goddamn," and "Fuck You and Your Whole Family." Like many egotistical artists known for their creative genius such as James Brown, Ted Nugent, and Sting, Miles Davis never met an audience, or a fan, that he couldn't offend.
As stated before a true genius.
Sadly, I have to dissagree with the many positive reviews of this Bill Evans recording, as it doesn't meet the highest standard he established via his total body of works. He seems confused at times, where he is in this medley - Is it Spartacus or Nardis... I doubt he knew. Some say his herion addiction is to blame, and his need for money to buy it, lead to this hasty recording session, which also met his record lable commitment. I can't know for sure, but I've been listening and finding extasy in Bill's music for more than 60 years, and as a musician, I can tell when he's "on"... which is 99.9% of the time; but not during this recording. For the ultimate version, check this 1969 recording with the late, great Jeremy Steig on flute, Eddie Gomez and Marty Morell. The interplay is magical, and masterful. There is no better music - period! ruclips.net/video/nZM46VNc6Kc/видео.html
❤❤❤❤ Just wow. Moved to tears
Rest In Power, Bill Evans .
6:27
Listen to the music and let Bill rest in peace. About his personal life, was his alone. If you want to talk about someone's personal life start with your own life. A bunch of creeps always commenting about someone's life after they have gone. The music music not your phony comments. Bill is on the beyond laughing at your fake comments. You know nothing about his life. Listen to the music and shut up
Is this the version where Hancock plays and "off" chord?
LINDA MELODIA!!! SAUDADE DE PARIS!
3:40, 4:06
Sammy soothing
Just wow.
When a song draws this many comments it is almost obvious that a work so deep has touched many hearts.
